![]() Why is it hidden away like other parts of the program where you need to get a search party out to find things like rearranging order of children for example, when it should be visible all the time. How easy was it when you could open all parts of the program to see this relationship. People are used to seeing it at the bottom LH corner as in RM 7. Well.that is the first time this has been mentioned to answer a question that we should not have to ask. Until now, I have never used a genealogy program that did not show this relationship corrrectly. Is there any chance that this will be corrected? This is very critical to many of the reports from my various databases that I print out. A daughter from the first marriage and a daughter from the second marriage show up as "sisters"!! Example: Great Grandfather had two wives. In all of the updates to RootsMagic 7 and from what I have seen in the discussion on RootsMagic 8, I have seen nothing on correcting the Relationship Calculator and Kinship Report to reflect 1/2 relations. I often want this info quickly when I'm working with autosomal DNA matches. I mostly deal with half-2nd cousins and further back, but RM doesn't distinguish with the relationship calculator. ![]() It certainly would be nice if it showed half relationships correctly. It would be nice even if the program shows relationships like RM 7 after you set them in RM 8, but that is not working yet either. To: Re: Incorrect Relationship Calculator and Kinship Report ![]()
